Scary Halloween Decorations – From Inside To Outside One Scare At A Time
Each year the stores are filled with tons of scary Halloween decorations and each year there are also tons of parents who are talked by their children into decorating the outside or inside of the home. There are some things you can do that can help decorate your home, without making it look like a complete spectacle and while still amusing your children. Tip 1. Start with taking some spider webbing and drape it practically everywhere, you can put it on banisters, bushes, trees and even across doorways for a creepy feeling. Add some plastic spiders to the mix and you have a really creepy look.
Tip 2. Get some scary Halloween window clings. These are really easy to apply with a spray bottle and some patience and look great. If you get the right ones you will be able to clearly see the decoration on both sides of the window, and you can easily pick and choose the windows that you want to apply the decoration to. Tip 3. Look towards a huge skeleton in the front yard somewhere to set the tone for your home. Available in various materials there are several options that you have to choose from, and finding your perfect skeleton is usually quite simple. With skeletons as small as 24" and as large as 6' made for indoor or outdoor usage you can put your skeleton wherever you want for that creepy scary look. Tip 4. Bag lights are a great way to light up the driveway without too much light. These are especially helpful on Halloween night itself when the trick-or-treaters are all out. These bags are sometimes made from terracotta and allow you to slide a small tea light candle inside to help provide a faint glow so people can see where they are going. Available in several colors including orange and black you have a few options to mix in with your home's décor. Tip 5. For the ultimate scary Halloween decorations, there are coffins that you can buy. Some even have mechanics set up so upon someone walking by it pops open and a vampire or monster pops up. This is a great way to add a huge scare factor to your home; however, they are a bit more expensive. If you preferred, you could buy an empty coffin that is available in the Halloween supply department and dress up yourself as a scary person and pop up whenever someone comes close, this is usually more fun for some people because they are able to actually see the scared looks that people get. Staying in budget, and enjoying the holiday season you can have a lot of fun around Halloween time and create a great flow from inside to outside with some great scary Halloween decorations. The biggest hassle will be after Halloween when it is time to carefully remove all of the creepy looking spider webbing from all around the house. |
